Young Eagles Report:

June 6^th Tuskegee Airman Dependents Event had 5 pilots and 19 Young Eagles

Old Business:

Cheri has MS Flight Simulator software.

New Business:

Deems Davis completed Test Phase of his RV-10. Chris Rute will have a project meeting late August. Raffle and Munchies volunteers needed.  If you have any meeting ideas – contact Bill.

Announcements:

Chapter 81 in Casa Grande holding a Pancake Breakfast at CGZ the third Saturday of the month.

Our June Chapter meeting will feature a program on building aircraft “The Care & Feeding or RVs and beyond” by C. C Siebenaler who has built several RVs.. Join us won’t you?

The Officers and Directors will be meeting at 6:00 p.m. prior to the Chapter Meeting. If there is anything you’d like the Board to consider, please contact any Officer.

Tech Counselor / Flight Advisor Report:
Lycoming and Continental Cylinders. Try to learn cylinder history. Inspect cylinder under pressure with soap mix to find leaks.

Young Eagles Report:
43 Young Eagles flown on April 4. Next event - June 6th. Next year’s schedule is Oct 17, Dec 5, Feb 20, April 24 and June 5.

Old Business:
Prescott Air Fair April 18. Chapter 1044 Mogollon Airpark Pancake Breakfast Saturday June 20th. See http://www.az82.com . Patches - pricing very high for current design. Direct to Garment printing, $8-10 for T shirt.

New Business:
Young Eagle Air Academy - 3 candidates being sent by Arizona Chapters. Dee Grimm on Copperstate Board of Directors. Bob Hurni , Copperstate Treasurer requesting Bookkeeper, Myra Ridder volunteered. Jim Moss will be the Awards Chairman next year. Event will take place October 22,23, 24 only. Next Copperstate Board meeting June 13th.

April 4th 2009 Potluck

Annual April Chapter 538 Potluck is at Dave Biddle’s hangar at Glendale Airport GEU (Cactus Hangar B on the northwest corner of the airport) Saturday, April 4th at 11:30AM after the Young Eagles Rally. The chapter is supplying the entree. All members are asked to bring a dessert or side dish. If your last name begins with A-L, please bring a side dish, M-Z please bring a dessert. Visitors are welcome to join us!

From Our President:

I would like to get the ham Tetrazzini and chicken (main dishes) and have last names beginning with A-L bring a veggie / potato dish and M-Z bring desert.

Young Eagles Rally

EAA Chapter 538 is having a Young Eagles Rally at the Glendale Airport Saturday, April 4, 2009.

Your participation is requested.  We need pilots and ground crew volunteers.
