RV7A wing and tail kit for sale in Phoenix. posted 01/02/07
My name is Jason Meyer, and I was an EAA member building a plane, but like so many, life has gotten in the way, and it is time to sell my project:   Options include electric elevator trim, and landing lights in wing tips.  Horizontal and Vertical stabilizers are complete.  Rudder has been started but is not complete. Wing kit has not been started.  I will sell everything for $6500/OBO. This is $1000 below cost...and I will even include all of my tools.  I will also deliver for free in Phoenix.  Delivery elsewhere will be at 50 cents per mile one way.  I am offering this first to EAA Chapters, and would prefer that it go to someone who will complete it.  Kit is currently in Tempe, AZ.  Contact Jason Meyer, 602-300-4646, rv7finn1b@msn.com
Thank you,
Jason

Chapter member Mark Chamberlain's RV-7 flew for the first time this morning, Sun, Dec 3rd at Deer Valley Airport!! Here is his report from the AZ RV list.

Hi All,

Just wanted to drop you a quick note and thank everybody for all of your help over the last year or so. After about 16 months and 2000+ hours of building from a standard kit (started July 17th 2005), my RV-7 - N234C kit # 72406) took its first flight December 3, 2006 at about 10:30am. Test pilot: Robbie Attaway (who also built the engine for me and did a fine job of it) reported that the plane flies straight and level with no heavy wing and no squawks. I flew it myself for the first time today and it certainly does fly great! The ball stays centered and there is no heavy wing, now I just need to learn to land the darn thing! The plane is equipped with an ECI Titan I/O 360 and a Hartzell blended air foil prop completes the firewall forward. Panel supports a Dynon 180 FlightDeck EFIS/EMS, TrueTrak Digiflight IIVS Autopilot, SL40 com, GTX 327 Transponder and a Garmin 496 GPS. The interior is The Aviator by Aero Classics. Empty weight 1095 with no paint so I guess taking the time to cut out all of those extra lightning holes was worth it :-) If you would like to see pictures you can go to my build log web site:
<http://websites.expercraft.com/markc/> http://websites.expercraft.com/markc/

Thanks again to everyone who has given advice and support over the past year or so while going through this intense, sometimes frustrating but overall fun building process. Looking forward to seeing you folks at up coming fly-ins and pancake breakfasts. I have to get my 40 hours flown off first though so it will be at least a week or so before I can venture out of phase one (that one's for you Darwin) :-)
If you haven't finished your plane yet, keep pounding those rivets, it's true what they say: it really is worth it.

Hello Chapter Members,
Our last few meetings have almost overflowed the terminal's meeting area. So, I have made arrangements with Pan Am to use Classroom "A" (tentative). Pan Am has 3 buildings, the classrooms are located in the one story building behind (or East of) the hanger building. >From the parking lot go through the fence gate just north of the hanger building to the South-East building. See you at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening October 10.
