Here are a few pictures after the sump was swapped. I also have been finishing up the firewall forward wiring, and avonics panel work. You'll see plenty of extra thread on the sump studs. They could have been an 1/8 inch shorter, but I'll take a little extra. I'll probably use an Adell clamp for the EGT & CHT wiring from the sensors, and attach it to the sump stud as well.

The Horz. Mixture cable bracket kit was easy to install, and so far I see no reason to modifiy anything yet. I also used vans Maniford pressure line kit, which has a reducer fitting, before attaching to the dynon manifold pressure sensor. The Throttle, mixture, and prop cables have been fitted, and just about ready for final attachment to instrument panel.

I hope to get the cowling on soon, and hang the prop.

I attached the propeller for the first time. I can now fit the engine cowling, FAB intake duct system, and trim the engine baffles to fit. The RV-200 prop came with an already to go spinner, so that's done.

I just started the engine cowl. The first thing you get to do is cleanup the intake seams around the front of the cowl. I used some blue spray paint I had laying around to mark the surface before I started my sanding. I think it will be fairly easy to get a 1/8" gap between the spinner and the cowling.

I'll wait until I'm ready to paint before final sanding the cowling surface.

It's getting hot, and progress has slowed down for the next two months. ;)

Lots of fingerprints on the bare aluminum, but I believe I'm ready to powercoat the panel. The plan is to focus on wiring everything up (Panel, engine, lighting, etc...) so I can rivet the remaining two panel (front bonnet, and rear panel behind cockpit). Then I can put the wing's back on.

Hope to see everybody at the next Phoenix EAA 538 meeting on September 14th.

Also, remember Copperstate fly-in is right around the corner October 21-23 ( http://www.copperstate.org/csj/ ). Last year there were many discounts, and free shipping offers. I bought most of my avonics at last years flying (2009), and the year before (2008) bought my ECI engine and RV-200 Whirlwind.
